The carefully made beer can then be sampled, taken especially for you from brewing tanks placed in vast and chilled maturing cellars. Which is where Budweiser Budvar matures before it makes its way out to the customers.
Multimedia exposition „Story of Budweiser Beer“ Whatever you didn’t notice amongst the brewers in their „kitchen“ can be seen in the multimedia exposition. The tale of Budweiser beer comes alive in here a large plasma screens, through unique holograms and during the projection of 3D films. The secrets of Budweiser Budvar beer’s success are told by technical antiquities as well as latest modern machinery, which will take you on an extraordinary journey into the bowels of the Earth. Using the cage of an extractive lift, you will descend as deep as 300 m below the surface to view the source of the high – quality spring water, which is essential for brewing Budweiser Budvar beer. You will also experience the atmosphere of the founding of České Budějovice, disputes between burghers and town councils, several wars, nationalization, communist domination and last but not least long – standing trademark disputes with the „American giant“. Following the trip through the history and current reality you can send your friends a unique electronic greeting from the Budweiser Budvar’s Enjoy centre.
Enclosed by the smell of malt from the barley of Haná and hops of Žatec, you will peep into the secret of beer production bearing one of the most famous trademarks, during a visit to the Budějovický Budvar brewery. You will hear about the process of beer production for which we use excellent water drawn from artesian wells more than 300 metres deep. You will see and hear how fresh mash and wort originate, and how the full taste and smell of the beer develops with a characteristic for long-lasting foam using original Budvar yeast. The nostalgic beauty of the exhibited technical sights will remind you of the rich tradition of the Czech brewery Budějovický Budvar.
In the beerhouse “Budvar” you can enjoy a bedewed glass of excellent wrinkled lager beer, special yeast 12% (12-grade) beer with full taste right from the tap and have for example a great sauerkraut soup from “brew-master assistant's pot”. The company shop then offers original souvenirs and gift packages of beer.
