South Bohemia Classic 2024
The International rally of classic and sports cars
České Budějovice will host a vintage car show
Lovers of classic cars will have a great time on Friday, 6 September. Machines that wrote automotive history will visit České Budějovice again after a year. The fifteenth edition of the South Bohemia Classic, an international veteran rally, will bring up to 170 crews from several countries around the world.
Valuable gems will start arriving at Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice from 1 pm on Friday. While the participants' vehicles remain on display in the city centre and the crews prepare for the two-day 468-kilometre rally at the Grandhotel Zvon, a concert by the music group Couple of Sounds will help to enhance the atmosphere of a bygone era. Starting number 1 will hit the track at 16:30 and thanks to the large turnout, the lively bustle on the square will not end until after 19:00.
The packed starting field promises a great spectacle. Spectators can look forward to legendary and lesser-known brands. Jaguar, Lagonda, Bentley, MG, Triumph, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Austin Healey, Chevrolet, Maserati, Skoda, DeLorean, Ferrari, Daimler and Alfa Romeo to name a few. The oldest car on the track is expected to be the MG C-Type, built in 1931, which will be brought to South Bohemia by the Curtis Liposcak - William Putnam crew from the United States of America.
