Čestice Castle
A Baroque castle in Čestice, reportedly built across from the former fortress in the third quarter of the 17th century.
The castle was built by the Hýzrle of Chod family in the late 17th century and was restored after a fire in 1690. It is a one-story, two-winged L-shaped building. The dominant feature of the castle is its hexagonal tower. A park surrounds the castle, and remnants of the old fortress can still be found within it.
Today, the castle houses the registry office, ceremonial hall, library, and a small museum featuring a numismatic collection that reflects different historical periods of the country. The hunting hall displays trophies, samples of local birds and animals, and hunting weapons.
