Výří skály Nature Reserve

Rocky outcrops on the right bank of the Otava River

The Výří skály Nature Reserve is named after the local nesting site of our largest owl – the Eurasian eagle-owl – and the rocky cliffs rising several meters above the water level. From the tops of the cliffs, there is a beautiful view of the meandering Otava River.

The area is located about two kilometers from the village of Oslov and can be reached via the green-marked tourist trail from Tukleky. The green trail continues all the way to Zvíkov Castle. The reserve is also accessible from the water, where you can anchor by the exposed rocky shore. In addition to the eagle-owl, several other specially protected animals and plants live in the reserve.

The path through the reserve may deteriorate during frequent rains.
