Educational Trail Velešínsko
The route is 5.5 km long with an elevation gain of 86 m. Although longer than the town circuit, it remains an easy and pleasant walk.
There are six informational stops with panels along the trail. Unlike the town route, this trail is marked with a yellow pictogram labeled Velešínsko – tourist trail. The starting point is a rest area at the former location of house No. 65, which had been owned by the Kamarýt family since 1767. The trail continues past the former church of St. Philip and James, descending through the square to a viewpoint overlooking the Římov Reservoir and the ruins of Velešín Castle. At this point, the trail leaves the town and enters open nature. Accordingly, the stops focus partly on flora and fauna and partly on the Stone Tower. The trail returns to town through the area of the former Coach Station (now the U Koňské dráhy guesthouse), near which preserved stone bridges of the historic horse-drawn railway can still be found.
