From Strakonice along the Golden Trail - Bohemian Forest
Road cycling combines speed, passion, and nature. Regardless of your experience level, this sport offers not only adrenaline but also a chance for social connection with fellow cyclists. Get ready for a road adventure and enjoy the freedom of movement under the open sky.
From Strakonice, head towards Volyně, where you can admire the remnants of a former fortress and the Jewish heritage in the form of a cemetery and an old Empire-style synagogue. In neighboring Čkyně, you'll find a similarly significant synagogue, this time in a plain Classicist style — the oldest preserved synagogue in South Bohemia. After a few more kilometers, you’ll reach Vimperk, known as the "Gateway to the Bohemian Forest," with its castle. Then a climb awaits you into the heart of the Bohemian Forest. Via Volary, you will reach the Renaissance town of Prachatice with its history of the "Golden Salt Trail," before returning back to Strakonice.
