From Dačice to Telč

Start from the town of Dačice, where in 1841 the world’s first sugar cube was invented – commemorated in a local museum exhibition. You can also visit the Dačice Château; another landmark is the Renaissance tower of the Church of St. Lawrence. Along the way, you’ll pass the fortress of Černíč, a fortified homestead converted into a water mill complex. Your destination is the Renaissance town of Telč, a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose historic center is one of the most valuable urban conservation areas in the country.
