Rožmitál na Šumavě – Forest Trail
The trail presents information about fauna and flora in an entertaining way and draws visitors into the environment of the forest, meadows, and watersides through interactive and educational features.
Specifically, this project includes the installation of two educational panels – Animal Tracks and a Nature-Themed Memory Game, along with a photo panel featuring natural motifs. Each is built with a wooden beam structure and a small roof; the boards and picture tiles (for the memory game) are mounted on wooden bases.
Additionally, a children's hunting tower with a square floor plan was built. It has two elevated levels and a total roof height of 3.5 meters, with a ladder and a full-length 6-meter ramp on the side, both equipped with railings. The site also features a covered seating area with a table and benches.
This is not the final activity, as the town's mayor adds: “The area offers further possibilities, such as adding more educational and play elements, building a bridge over the drainage ditch, and creating a safe fire pit. Furthermore, the trail will be marked from the village center, and we will work on its development with the town council, residents, the local action group MAS Pomalší, and the Novohradsko-Doudlebsko destination association.”
