To Holašovice for Rural Baroque – from Hluboká

This trip takes you to a village that has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its well-preserved Baroque-style houses and granaries surrounding the village square. The route is enhanced by beautiful natural scenery and picturesque ponds.

Very few villages worldwide can boast of being part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. Holašovice is the only village in the Czech Republic to have received this recognition. This cycling route leads you from Hluboká nad Vltavou through charming South Bohemian villages with traditional rural Baroque architecture, including Holašovice, and into a landscape of serene ponds and breathtaking views. You’ll experience life in a South Bohemian village, absorb the energy of a magical stone circle, refresh yourself in one of the local ponds, or enrich your trip with a visit to a zoo or a horseback ride.
