Adventure for a whole family with Jan Žižka in Tábor

Whether the sun is shining or it's raining, in Tábor, the town where history is still alive, the whole family will have fun.

Where to wander??

  • Arrive by car or train to Tábor. 
  • Walk to the old town. 
  • Stroll through the old town. 
  • To the valley of Tismenický Creek to Housův Mill. 
  • Through the avenue to Klokot.

What to experience?

  • In the Hussite Museum at Žižka Square, you'll immerse yourself in the mysterious catacombs beneath the city and explore how the Hussites waged war. 
  • Climb the tower of the Dean's Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tábor and admire the winding streets of the medieval town from above. 
  • In Kotnovská Street, visit the Chocolate Museum, where you'll find not only captivating models but also have the chance to try many things yourself. 
  • Just behind the church, immerse yourself and the children in the Spooky Underground or the cheerful tunnels of Skřítek with figures from myths and legends. 
  • On Špitálské Square, visit the Lego Museum. 
  • Descend into the valley of Tismenický Creek to Housův Mill – here you'll find the largest film armory in Central Europe, where you can try out armor worn by Brad Pitt, or participate with the children in Hussite battles. 
  • Take a swim at the swimming pool at Jordán, the oldest water reservoir in Central Europe.
