On the edge of the picturesque South Bohemian countryside, in the quiet village of Vosná near Mladá Vožice, a beer with soul is being brewed. Balík Brewery is a family-run brewery where honest craftsmanship blends with enthusiasm, tradition and the courage to forge its own path. You can enjoy a glass of our popular beer here in the cosy taproom or sit outside.

A story that began with passion
"Behind our beer is brewer Tomáš Balík, whose journey began back at secondary school with his first batch of home-brewed beer – and the immediate enthusiasm of those around him. What began as an experiment amongst friends quickly grew into a way of life.”
After studying food science in Prague, Tomáš decided to pursue his dream wholeheartedly and went on to study a course specialising specifically in brewing. In the meantime, brewing had become a daily part of his life – and it was clear that the next step was inevitable: his own brewery.
From a barn to a brewery
A few years ago, a major transformation began – the family barn was gradually turned into a modern brewery. The whole family got involved in the build. Since 2023, they have been brewing excellent craft beer here. The brewery operates as a true family project, where everyone lends a hand. They have also gradually built their own taproom, where you can sample the beers straight from the source.
The beer comes to you
With its mobile stall, Pivovar Balík also travels to festivals, corporate events and private celebrations.
