HOTELSTARS UNION - Hotelstars is the official unified classification of accommodation facilities in the Czech Republic, introduced and implemented by the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic together with its umbrella organization HOTREC on the basis of a government order. The aim of the categorization is to facilitate the orientation of customers or travel agencies. The official uniform classification was created in 1999 with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and the Czech Tourism Centre - CzechTourism. Hotelstars Union reliably classifies hotels in categories from 1 to 5 stars based on a common catalogue of criteria.
