Museum of JUDr. Otakar Kudrna

JUDr. Otakar Kudrna was a passionate collector of historical and ethnographic monuments which he gathered during his lifetime at the square in Netolice, which at the same time served as a museum. In 1940 Otakar Kudrna died, donating his house and its ethnographic monuments to the city.

The Museum of JUDr. Otakar Kudrna with its information center is located directly in the most preserved Renaissance house on the town square in Netolice. The exhibition provides much information about the history, traditions, and life of the people in the area. The museum also holds a collection of Moldavite stones, minerals, archeologic items, pipes, weapons, folk embroidery, guild objects, glass and porcelain, and burgher furniture. Most of the folk culture exhibits from the Doudleby, Prácheň, and Blata regions, including the reconstruction of the original interior of the farmhouse, come primarily from the middle of the 19^th century. 

The house holds organized occasional exhibitions of artworks. An interesting space for visitors is the vaulted entrance passage with historical shields and lanterns and the gradually formed lapidarium in the courtyard of the building. 
 

The museum provides services to researchers and is involved in the organization of thematic exhibitions throughout the Czech Republic with loans from its rich depository.  The museum building also holds an information center, open all year round. The museum is open from May to September.
