Medieval underground of the town of Tábor

Medieval underground of the town of Tábor

Have you ever walked through an underground labyrinth?

The cellars of the Tábor Old Town, reportedly 14 km long, lead on several floors, but you will be safely guided. Walking 650 m long way, you will be told information about the current location below Zizka Square and about the history of this popular Tabor rarity.

How were these so-called loch (holes) dug and what did they serve to? That's what you can see in the underground – a pantry, a prison for slandering women, a shelter in case of fire, a pub and a miner excavating another part of the hall. If you want to enjoy a bit of mystery, you can join to special costumed tours. You will light by the lanterns and visit also the old town hall.
