What gifts did the three kings bring to baby Jesus? What do they symbolize? And where did the tradition of trick-or-treating come from?
We invite you to an exhibition organized by the regional Diocesan Charity on the occasion of 25 years of the Tříkrál Collection.

Charity CR has continued an ancient tradition and has been collecting for people in need for a quarter of a century. Every year more than 70,000 volunteers are involved in the organisation of the collection and the caroling process, collecting tens of millions of crowns in the collection boxes (in 2024 it was more than 170 million crowns, while in the whole time of the collection's existence it has already collected 2 billion crowns).
The exhibition presents the history of the collection and all the interesting facts connected with it. You will also learn who the money has helped and is helping, according to which key it is distributed and what the preparations for the largest charity collection in the country entail.There will also be a photo booth with costumes of the three kings and weekend creative workshops for children.
Today, as in the past, carolers spread God's blessings and messages of merciful love among the people while asking for donations for people in need. It is also a celebration of solidarity. It mediates intergenerational encounters and cohesion. Even in a brief moment, it allows us to experience a sense of joy and mutuality, and this is its greatest mission and most powerful message. It presents a unique opportunity for trick-or-treaters and donors alike to start the new year with a good deed.
Young, young and old trick-or-treaters of the Trinitarian collection can be found on the streets with their boxes usually from 1. They must be accompanied by an adult, who must carry identification and present it on request. All cash boxes are sealed and their numbers match the number on the carolers' ID cards.
