Dragon Boats, Tabor
Dragon boat races for the general public.
The captain of each boat registers his team and pays the entry fee of 1 800 CZK together with the entry form. The racing spider is prepared for 24 crews. The team of each boat consists of 18 crew members and 19. drummer, of which at least 4 paddling women, while the helmsmen are provided by the organizer.
The city of Tábor in cooperation with TJ VS Tábor canoeing section organizes a dragon boat race on 200 m in 3 lanes with the fact that each crew starts in three races. A dragon boat is a vessel in the shape of an open canoe with a length of 12.5 m decorated with a dragon's head at the tip and a tail at the stern. 18 paddlers seated (9 on the right and 9 on the left), a drummer sitting on the tip who sets the pace of the paddling by beating the drum and a coxswain (not part of the registered crew) standing on the stern.
