The rules of the game have been more or less clear for 12 years: the playing field is Tábor, where a grand celebration of the best books published in Bohemia takes place, small publishers exhibit and sell in the streets, their authors, writers, poets, illustrators and translators, and of course a large audience is everywhere there is a good seat in the Truhlárna in Tábor, the crypt, the bookshop, in a tent, on the quay, in the Trafacia by the Jordan, on a boat on the Jordan, in a gazebo in the Orchards, in the Cider Factory, in a theatre, in an antique shop, in a café, in a tearoom, in a garden, in the Shooting Gallery. The Tabook Festival is packed with exhibitions, readings, theatrical and theatrical performances, workshops and seminars, lectures, debates, philosophical duels... You will meet here characters quite exceptional, unique phenomena of Czech culture and the foreign illustrative scene, both those revealed and those keeping in the shadows, but also contemporary musicians and theatre artists, performers, activists, fighters, madmen, students, a lot of old, young and children in unison, in one move. You are the players, you choose... it's not a given that you have to see and experience all of the circus. There are those who see what no one has seen, there are those who have to see too much and others who become actors or protagonists themselves...
