ŠKOFJA LOKA / MEETINGS

The exhibition will present a selection of photographs from the 50-year career of architect, scenographer and photographer Tone Mlakar from Škofja Loka and Škofja Loka;images taken over the last two decades by members of the Anton Ažbe Photography Club from Škofja Loka as part of the Tábor Encounters festival.
The cooperation between the cities was initiated in 1999. When Damjan Prelovšek, Peter Pokorn Sr. and Jan Jelšik organized an exhibition of Mlakar's photographs in Tábor. This contributed to the establishment of an official partnership between the cities in 2006 and to regular meetings during the Tábor Meetings Festival, often accompanied by occasional photographic exhibitions.
The grand opening of the exhibition will take place on 13 September at 4 pm with the participation of the mayors of both partner cities.
