Winter tour route at Hluboká Chateau
Winter tours at Hluboká Castle have been attracting visitors for several years. Visitors will visit the nine rooms of the private suites of the last four generations of the owners of the Hluboká estate - the Schwarzenbergs.
Autumn has come, and yet Hluboká Castle still welcomes visitors. It used to be a tradition that the gates of the castle were closed to tourists on October 31st and the wait was until April 1st of the following year... However, the tempered premises allow the castle staff to welcome visitors even in the cold season. There is much to offer. Gradually, rooms have been installed, which belong to the more intimate ones. In the larger part of the ground floor, which offers a winter castle circuit for viewing, were the private suites of the last four generations of the owners of the Hluboká estate. First we pass into the Hamilton drawing room. Already in the corridor, apart from trophies and prints from the 18th century with the theme of hunting, we can notice framed photographs of members of the princely Schwarzenberg family. The motif of hunting also accompanies us in other rooms, the smoking saloon and the small dining room of Theresia. Then follows the sumptuous hunting dining room, the preparation room, Dr. Adolf's small dining room, his study, living room and bedroom.
You can come on a tour from November 4 to December 21, always from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
