Jižní Svéráz 2026
Festival of site-specific and immersive theatre
Jižní Svéráz is a festival of South Bohemian theatre that turns South Bohemia into a stage. Each performance takes place in a setting that is itself a backdrop or is something special. After the zero edition in 2024, which attracted more than twenty thousand spectators, the first official edition is planned for the summer of 2026. It is the largest project within the framework of České Budějovice - European Capital of Culture 2028, where you can look forward to more than forty productions performed by thirty-one artistic groups.

The first tasting programme for the opening weekend of the Festival's one-stop shop May 1-3, 2026, was released on December 1, 2025. The full programme will be on sale from March 3, 2026.
