Český Krumlov Baroque Arts Festival

Venue: Český Krumlov

Immortal works of Baroque artists in authentic historical spaces of the city

The Baroque Arts Festival is a celebration of early music, bringing to life original masterpieces by Baroque composers in the city's historic spaces. Just as it was centuries ago, today the strains of period pieces can once again be heard in authentic performances.

In addition to the annual gala premiere of one Baroque opera in a fully staged and narrative performance, the festival also offers extraordinary concerts of chamber and church music from the 16th to 18th centuries. The uniqueness of the festival lies in the authentic interpretation of early music, with ensembles playing instruments using original techniques according to original tuning systems.

Programme 2026:
September 18, 19 and 20 - Antonio Draghi: Lo Smemorato - a modern premiere of a Baroque opera / Baroque Castle Theatre

19. September - Baroque Fireworks and illuminations / Summer Riding Hall in the Castle Gardens
