Jaromír Typlt - Big Panic, Tabor
The only exhibition of the leading representative of contemporary Czech figurative painting Lubomir Typt in the Czech Republic this year!
Typlt's work is characterized by its manic energy and an attempt to disrupt the viewer's comfort zone. His paintings assault the senses with radical colours and intense contrasts, which, combined with dynamic composition, create a sense of constant tension. In his works, the artist often explores themes of individual socialisation, manipulation and hidden forms of repression, capturing the human figure in motion and chilling stillness, often with exaggerated and even disturbing facial expressions.
The exhibition in Tábor offers a fascinating cross-section of Typlt's work. Alongside the iconic motifs of screaming toddlers and girls with disheveled hair, the exhibition also features the artist's signature still lifes, in which objects such as bicycles and umbrellas are transformed into bearers of powerful archetypal meanings. The real attraction, then, is the inclusion of a rare work from the early years of the millennium, which shows the continuity of the artist's raw style from his earliest years.
Come experience a world where colour and rhythm form a fascinating whole.
The exhibition opening on 28/3 will be accompanied by a concert by the artist's home band WWW Neurobeat, bringing together Typlt's predatory painterly handwriting with the urgent energy of his musical lyrics in the space of the theatre.
