L. HŘIVNÁČ – RINGS FOR THE KLOKOT VIRGIN

Venue: Tábor

16. 4. — 26. 7.

Libor Hřivnáč, poet, photographer, sculptor. He describes himself as a peasant because, like them, he has his feet firmly on the ground. He graduated from the Secondary Agricultural Technical School in Opava. He has gained life experience in many different professions. In brickworks, on a cooperative farm, in a sawmill, in engineering, in the municipal office or in real estate. Since his youth he has been taking photographs, collecting stones, studying history, writing poetry. He has also been a sculptor for a long time, working in certain thematic cycles in which his photographs, sculptures and poems are intertwined. In this way, he creates a kind of comprehensive work of art: the Gesamtkunstwerk.

In Tábor he will present his cycle Rings and the Temple of the Lord. In his works he conveys various messages. You don't have to understand the sculptures or their creator. Just stop. Think. And absorb that indefinable energy hidden in the artist's works.

The children's opening with a rich program will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 3.30 pm. The classical opening from 5.00 p.m.
