Museum of Nové Hrady

Currently, the Novohradské Museum consists of four permanent exhibitions and several supporting programs and regular events. In the Cultural and Community House, there is a room featuring a model of the Novohradské Mountains and an exhibition on the historical development of Nové Hrady. The unique model, built to a scale of 1:12,500, covers an area of over 500 km². It includes 90 illuminated LEDs marking the most important peaks, towns, bodies of water, and natural landmarks of the region.

But a full-fledged museum is more than just exhibits. Since 2013, the museum has also organized spring or autumn series of popular lectures, exhibitions, summer excursions, and experiential events related to the history of the town and its surroundings.
