Bird Trail at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant
A fusion of industrial heritage and natural wonders
WE HAVE BIRDS – SO WE MADE THEM A TRAIL
Scientists from the University of South Bohemia have identified nearly 40 bird species around the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. More than half of them are known to nest in the area. You may encounter the Sedge Warbler, Grey Wagtail, or Common Swift. According to researchers, the park near the information center is the most interesting spot. To make birdwatching easier during your visit, we created an educational trail – complete with 11 bird models placed throughout the natural setting.
