Exhibition on the History of Fish Farming and Forestry

At the museum, you’ll see original pond drains and various everyday tools of the fishing trade:

a fisherman's scale, hemp net, original leather fisherman’s clothing, vats, fish transport carts, historic drainage devices, and more.

In the forestry section, you’ll find a two-man chainsaw, Hacker’s nursery machine, various axes and saws, and other tools used in forest work. Since 2017, the exhibit also features a section on timber rafting on the Nežárka River.

During your visit, you can watch films such as Landscape of the Golden Rose, Historical Fish Harvest at Vajgar Pond, and Turning Water into Light. The exhibition is enhanced with historical and modern photographs.

The site also includes a fully functional hydroelectric power station designed by František Křižík.

The exhibition is open from the end of May to the end of September.
