Breeding of Rare Herbivores in the Bohemian Forest
Large herds of wisents, bisons, and back-bred aurochs graze the mountain pastures of Křišťanov in the Prachatice region.
The ecological breeding of these reintroduced herbivores is managed by GW FARM, part of the Agrokomplex Šumava business group. Group tours are available upon prior telephone arrangement during working hours (9 AM to 4 PM) or by special appointment. Please respect the agricultural operations and follow the instructions of the site manager at the Křišťanov farm.
