Borkovická blata Educational Trail
The Borkovická blata Nature Reserve is the northernmost peat bog of the Třeboň Basin. It is a protected area located near the village of Borkovice, close to Veselí nad Lužnicí.
The educational trail passes through a unique peat bog ecosystem, featuring bog pine forests and sedge-cottongrass wetlands. Along the route, visitors can also see historical peat extraction machinery, as peat was harvested in this area in the past. Most of the 6.5-kilometer-long trail runs on wooden walkways.
