Černice Hunting Lodge
A Baroque hunting lodge in an ancient game preserve.
The Baroque hunting lodge was built in the second half of the 18th century by Count Václav Paar as a hunting residence. It is also nicknamed "the star" due to its shape resembling a three-pointed star. A hexagonal hall connects to three two-story wings. The interior of the lodge is not open to the public and is used as private accommodation for special events. However, the Černice Game Preserve Educational Trail passes directly through the lodge grounds, beginning at a parking lot 200 meters away near the Golf Residence.
The Černice Game Preserve was established by Petr Vok of Rožmberk 430 years ago. It is one of the oldest protected natural areas in the Czech Republic. Near the preserve is the 1st South Bohemian Golf Club Bechyně.
