Luděk’s Toy Room in Lodhéřov
A unique exhibition of original wooden toys where children are welcome to try out the exhibits without worry.
Creator of original wooden toys, Luděk Fiala, displays and shares his collection in an exhibition space adapted from a barn at his home in Lodhéřov. All toys are handmade by the author himself, making each one a true original.
A distinctive feature of the toys is their semi-construction system, which allows children, in natural cooperation with adults, to create a limited but well-defined range of variants derived from a single toy's basic shape.
The entire collection is installed year-round. A play area is available where children can interact with the exhibited toys. Admission is free. As there are no fixed visiting hours, tours must be arranged in advance. The space is not heated.
