Forest Elf Trail
A circular trail for families with children.
Located within reach of the town center and in the immediate vicinity of the historic Solar waterworks. The trail is partially marked on the current walking route around Vimperk and is approximately 1.5 km long. Part of it follows the yellow tourist trail, which it leaves about halfway and returns back toward Solar. The trail starts near the Hotel Terasa (Pasovská Street). It is further marked with special elf symbols. Strollers are not recommended – the terrain may be muddy and some areas have exposed tree roots.
Along the trail, there are 7 information panels – elf houses with stamps, giant rabbits, stump elves, houses made from natural materials, and nature games for children and adults alike. At the final stop near the elf “Bukovníček,” there are also small art supplies for decorating elf figures made from cones, bark, moss, pebbles, or twigs.
And the reward for collecting 6 stamps in the game card (available at the Information Center)? We've thought of that too. Bring your completed card to the Vimperk Information Center to receive a small reward.
Please note: Before starting the trail, you must cross a railway track, which the trail partially follows. Parents are responsible for their children. The trail is accessed at your own risk.
