Dunajovická Mountain and Way of the Cross
A forested hill (504 m a.s.l.) above the village of the same name, featuring a flooded quarry, the pilgrimage Chapel of the Holy Cross, and a Way of the Cross.

At the end of the 19th century, a Way of the Cross was built near the summit of Dunajovická Mountain using funds from a public collection. The images were created by Dean Bedřich Kamarýt from Deštná. Fourteen chapels depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ guide you through the woods around the flooded quarry. At the end of the trail stands a neo-Baroque Chapel of the Holy Cross, built in 1885 above a spring. The water flowing from it is said to be healing – and the locals will confirm it. So come and hike “to the mountain”, as they say here!
