Via Ferrata Hluboká

Via Ferrata Hluboká

The longest secured climbing route directly above the Vltava River. Located 8 km from Hluboká nad Vltavou, it offers three climbing sections. Two are suitable for beginners, while section B is physically more demanding. In total, 720 meters of climbing await you.

Head to the picturesque Vltava valley between Hluboka nad Vltavou and Purkarec. At a place called Karvanice, on the left bank of the river, steep rock walls rise directly from the water, along which a secured path for safe climbing winds, the so-called ferrata. These routes have their origins in the Alpine regions and have gained more and more fans in recent years. You don't have to be a climber to conquer it. Ferrata Hluboká has the second easiest difficulty B and its 150 m long section can be done even by beginner climbers and families with children. Section B has 400 m and difficulty C/D. A special harness with safety carabiners, the so-called ferrata set and helmet, is required for safe fighting.
