Observation Tower Jezerní Slať near Kvilda
Jezerní Slať is one of the raised bogs situated on the plateau of the Šumava highlands. The 7-meter-high observation tower offers beautiful views of nearly the entire bog area and the opposite forested ridge. There are 21 steps leading to the top viewing platform.
How to get there
The starting point for visiting Jezerní Slať is the parking lot along the road from Kvilda to Horská Kvilda. Although it’s only about 500 meters along a narrow path slightly downhill, access by bicycle is not possible, as cyclists are not allowed to enter Zone 1 of the national park from the parking area.
