Slabošovka Lookout Tower
The telecommunications tower, also serving as a lookout tower, was built in 2002 and stands 36 meters tall. The viewing platform is situated at 24 meters, offering panoramic views of the highest peak of the Slepičí Mountains, Kohout, the Kleť in the Blanský Forest, the peaks of the Novohradské Mountains, and the summit of Poluška.
How to get there
You can park your car at the edge of the village, where the asphalt road turns into a dusty field path. From there, proceed on foot to the clearly visible lookout tower on the hill.
The village is accessible by bus. From the village square, follow the green tourist trail and then turn onto a dusty field path leading to the lookout tower. The nearest train station is in Kaplice. From the station, follow the green tourist trail through Pořešín and over the Malše River bridge to the intersection with the road towards Malče. Then turn left, and in the village of Malče, join another green tourist trail that leads to Besednice, where you can turn left to reach the lookout tower. The route is approximately 8.5 km long.
