Velký Kamýk Lookout Tower
An iron lookout tower that also functions as a mobile operator transmitter. From the viewing platform at a height of 31 meters, you can enjoy views of the Písek Hills, the Brdy Mountains, and Šumava. The total height of the tower is 65 meters.
How to get there
You can reach the tower by car. The road leads from Písek through Velké Nepodřice. At the end of the village, turn left onto a field road and after about 300 meters, turn left again onto another field road that leads directly to the tower.
The nearest train station is in Písek. From the station, follow the red tourist trail which leads beyond the village of Velké Nepodřice, then turn left onto an unmarked field road that will take you to the tower. The total distance is approximately 7.5 km.
Additional information
The tower is usually open without restrictions. Alternatively, you can obtain a key at house no. 22 in Velké Nepodřice.
Souvenirs are available at the municipal office in Dobev or at the information center in Písek.
