Museum of Rafting
This unique museum introduces you to the history and traditions of rafting in the Czech Republic.
The museum is located in the Church of St. Jošt in the historic center of Český Krumlov. In the exhibition, you can admire the second-largest model of a rafting vessel in the Czech Republic and learn about the construction of rafts. The visit also includes a tour of the church tower and the Renaissance roof trusses made of floated wood, which belong to the oldest preserved wooden roof structures in Europe.
The Rafting Museum was created in cooperation with KrumlovLive and Radek Šťovíček, the museum’s patron, owner, and operator of the rafting company Voroplavba.cz. It is dedicated to the memory of the last rafter in the Czech Republic, Mr. Václav Husa (1930-2021).
