How to get there
On foot
From the train station, follow the red tourist sign for about 2.2 km (30 minutes walk).
From the bus station, follow the red tourist sign for about 1.9 km (30 minutes walk).
By car
I want to see Vimperk and I would like to walk through the historical centre:
The central car park for visitors to Vimperk is by the Volynek River (49.0545942N, 13.7817433E).
From the car park it is possible to come to the castle by the red tourist marker and walk through the historical centre. The way back is through the castle alley, past the Church of St. Bartholomew.
Visitors coming from the direction of Strážný and Kubovi Huti can also park in the car park near the Terasa Hotel (49.0512778N, 13.7742753E).
I have health restrictions or am in a great hurry:
Park about 100 m from the entrance gate to the castle in the Podzámčí car park (above the summer cinema area, 49.0563006N, 13.7734775E).
The number of spaces in the car park is limited (it is about 30 spaces).
The easiest way to get to the car park is to drive above the estate on the road to Kašperské Hory and Sušice and turn left at the Vodník complex onto Hřbitovní Street.
Time needed to visit
