A Lookout Tower Like No Other
Whoever sets out to visit this “lookout tower” shouldn’t expect any wooden or metal structure. In a meadow located along the road between Třebohostice and Zadní Zborovice, there are stakes placed in the ground, through which you can spot Boubín, Poledník and other peaks.
How to get there
About 10 km from Strakonice lies the village of Třebohostice. From there, head toward Zadní Zborovice. About 400 meters from the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk in Třebohostice, you’ll find the “lookout” on the left-hand side.
Additional information
The base point of the lookout is a stone with a carved relief of human footprints. Another essential part of the lookout are the stakes indicating direction, whose height precisely defines the target point of observation. The stakes are equipped with plaques to help visitors with orientation.
