Additional information

Švecburg Castle - the youngest castle in the Czech Republic
Švecburg Castle has virtually no historical background, as the first mention of it dates back only to 2007. It is located in a small forest near Kváskovice, in the Strakonice district. The castle consists of two towers and two adjoining small rooms. It was built by Mr. Jan Švec, a bricklayer by profession. The structure is made of stones collected from nearby fields by Mr. Švec and his friends. The site also features a stone shelter with a bench, a niche chapel dedicated to St. Hubert, and part of the castle walls. The name of the castle was given by the local villagers.
