Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua
A modern rotunda – consecrated on August 4, 1940, on the slope of the highest Šumava mountain within the former Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
How to get there
From Javorník: From the Vyhlídka Hotel in the center of Javorník, climb about 200 m following the blue trail, then continue 400 m along the forest edge to reach the rotunda. From here, there is a beautiful view of the Vimperk region.
Additional information
Each year, a famous pilgrimage takes place in Javorník on the first Sunday after the June feast of St. Anthony.
