Vidov – Educational Trail “Landscape of Changes”
In the surroundings of the village, a relatively small area concentrates diverse geomorphological and biogeographical conditions, representing most natural and cultural ecosystems found around České Budějovice.
The first written mention of Vidov dates back to the year 1357 AD. Historical records indicate that at that time, Vidov was an independent estate with a fortified manor. Only remnants of the manor have been preserved, visible today beneath the floor of the local grocery store. The main reason to visit Vidov is the educational trail “Landscape of Changes.” It is an easy 4-kilometer circuit with 12 information stops. The starting point of the trail is the city public transport bus stop in the center of the village.
