The sports complex is located in the town of Chýnov, about 10 km east of the district town Tábor. It is especially known for the nearby Chýnov Limestone Cave, one of the largest in the country. The settlement originated around a Slavník border castle, first mentioned in the Chronicle of Cosmas in the year 981.
