How to get there
On Foot
From the train station, follow the red tourist trail for about 2.2 km (30 minutes on foot). From the bus station, follow the red tourist trail for about 1.9 km (30 minutes on foot).
By Car
Park about 100 m from the castle entrance gate at the Podzámčí parking lot (above the summer cinema area, 49.0563006N, 13.7734775E).
The number of parking spaces is limited (approximately 30 spots).
The central parking lot for visitors to Vimperk is located by the Volyňka River (49.0545942N, 13.7817433E).
From the parking lot, you can walk to the castle via the red tourist trail and explore the historic center along the way. On the way back, you can take the castle alley path past the Church of St. Bartholomew.
