Zvířátkov Putim
A family with four children lives here, and they came up with the idea of getting animals so that parents and children would come here instead of sitting in front of computers and tablets.
You can visit almost anytime you feel like it. It’s actually a kind of self-service place you'll want to come back to.
They find great joy in all the animals they raise—and also in every single visitor.
When they have time, they’re happy to answer any questions you may have about the animals.
The animals are their hobby, and they receive no subsidies.
The area also includes a children’s play area and a quirky refreshment stand.
Open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM.
How to get there
In Putim, there is a majestic statue of Švejk, and from there it’s just a few steps to the mini zoo. It’s well marked locally. Trains from Písek run to Putim nearly every hour.
