What is the origin of the name of the castle? Why are there so many big boulders on the foot of the mountain? And why is the local well mysterious? Local stories tell about these.

Castle of Choustnik is a dominant feature in the rolling countryside south of Chýnov since 1252. Only ruins with two prismatic towers have been preserved to this day. The two towers are precious evidence for the fact that the castle of Choustník was once ruled by two men.

When the weather is nice, you can see the whole region and sometimes even catch a glimpse of the tops of Šumava or Brdy mountains from one of the towers.
