Čimelice Castle
A castle with a complex of buildings and an expansive park.
Currently, the castle is uninhabited and used only for occasional events. The surrounding buildings and land are leased. Although the interiors are not open to the public, you can admire the castle from the outside and enjoy a walk through the well-maintained castle park.
A horticultural company currently operates in the park and every two years organizes the renowned Čimelice Flower Exhibition.
A legend is tied to the castle: the ghost of the cruel owner Josef Vratislav of Mitrovic is said to appear as a howling black dog sitting in front of the castle gate at midnight.
