Puštík's Trail (Forest Games Area Stožec)
The experience trail begins about 1 km from the visitor center, is 1.6 km long, and loops back to the village of Stožec. The full loop is 4.5 km long.
The trail runs through the forest along unpaved paths, partially on a hardened surface (not suitable for strollers).
Interactive educational features focus on three main themes: life in the forest, forest regeneration, and the importance of decaying wood.
The symbol of the trail is the Ural owl. It will guide you through a forest adventure where you will learn to identify forest animals and plants, play as a tracker, peek under tree bark, or try what it’s like to be a woodpecker.
You can purchase a worksheet for 30 CZK at the Šumava NP Visitor Center in Stožec. Don’t forget to bring crayons or colored pencils!
