Additional information

The memorial honors people whose deaths were connected to forestry or hunting, as well as those who died for the forest, for their country, or for political reasons. It includes tragic events that occurred not only in state forests, but also in military, private, municipal, and other forests.

The list of names on the memorial is the result of years of research by Petr Martan, published in:
"National Memorial for the Deceased in Forestry, 1918–2015, Forests of the Czech State"
"National Memorial for the Deceased in Forestry – Second Supplemented Edition, 1918–2018, Forests of the Czech State II."
