Římov Calvary

Římov Calvary

A small steep hill on which three tall wooden crosses stand side by side, restored in 1840.

The “Calvary Hill” is a small, steep elevation with three tall wooden crosses erected side by side, restored in 1840.

The figures of the crucified are painted on cut sheet metal. The central and tallest cross bears Christ himself, while the side crosses bear the bodies of the two thieves, Dismas and Gestas. Between the crosses stand stone statues of the Virgin Mary, St. John, and St. Mary Magdalene, created in 1705 by Friedrich Haslinger from Horn.
